We all know that beauty rest does wonders to your look. I remember when I was a kid, my mom jokingly said she needs her beauty sleep, but I don't understand exactly why sleep could make you look good. After I'm older, I know the reason. Lack of sleep really make you looks bad.. Enough rest is absolutely important for both your mind as well as your body. You can only look your very best when you're healthy right? It is as simple as that!

When you had trouble sleeping, it will show. You can see it on their face when somebody is having trouble sleeping. Make sure you're getting eight hours rest a night.
You also need a decent mattress for proper beauty rest. It's best to rest using a mattress that's not too firm or too soft. This was my problem when I had sleep disorders. After I changed the mattress to a new one, I rest much better. You are going to have a harder time to have a good nights rest if you are using a bed mattress that is too soft or perhaps too firm. It also helps a lot if you are using appropriate mattress size for your need. If you're going to sleep in a full size mattress together with your wife/husband, it's simply to packed in the bed and it is going to be difficult to rest well. Use bigger mattress when you feel it's too crowded on the bed. It's going to really help a lot for a good nights sleep.
If you are already using a good mattress, however, you still aren't able to sleep well, the next thing you'll want to take a look at is the environment. Your bedroom should be for sleeping. You need a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere inside your bedroom to rest well. Keep work out of your bedroom, and keep the mess picked up. Also, consider if light or sound are interfering with your beauty sleep. Use a sleeping mask if necessary and use white noise device such as fan to remove the sound that is bothering you.
Scientists claim to have found the first proof that getting sufficient sleep and rest really does make you appear more healthy and much more attractive. If you want to look healthy and appealing, it's way better to have a good night's sleep and it's also a lot cheaper than other beauty treatments.

Here are several tips to help you get the sleep you need:
- Keep away from large meals right before sleeping. An active digestive system may disturb sleep.
- Workout everyday. Even 20 minutes of taking walks will help maintain stress hormones from interfering with your sleep at night.
- Do not read, watch tv or work in bed. Use the bed only to sleep. This will help to prevent you from developing sleep disorders.
- Stay away from caffeine, nicotine or other stimulants within 4 hours of bedtime.
- Minimise light, sound as well as temperature extremes; the bedroom needs to be comfortably cool, about 68 degrees.
